Sweet Home Alabama kind of night…

Hope on Jun 22nd 2008

Yep, it’s that time again. All my friends know this is a movie I watch a lot and just adore. It is one of those movies I go to when I just want to wrap up with a blanket on the couch and just veg out with the phones off and the computers far away from me.

Tonight will be a Sweet Home Alabama night so if you need me…. you’ll have to knock on the door to get my attention :)

Things are good and I am feeling blessed but I’m just in need of some quiet and relaxing time

Currently watching :
Sweet Home Alabama

Swingtown

Hope on Jun 22nd 2008

I’m surprised that I actually like it. I have only watched the first episode and will catch up on the other two this week at some point but so far so good. It’s different and all but I’m thinking it has potential at being a really good show.

It isn’t as raunchy as I had thought it would be, which is good. It isn’t easy to make a family type show out of something like this lol Not that I would want my kids watching it but it does deal with family issues as well as the other issues :)

Tori & Dean

Hope on Jun 22nd 2008

*blushes* I love it! I know, I know, I’m turning into a reality junkie but I just can’t help it! The girl that used to hate reality is totally loving it (still not a survivor fan and don’t expect that to change lol)

Some of these shows make the person look worse than what you thought they were to begin with but I feel like Tori & Dean does right the opposite. Wish I was all caught up on Season 1. I caught the marathon of Season 2 and as soon as Netflix gets me Season 1 (after the release date) then I’ll get totally caught up :)

Sex and the City

Hope on Jun 20th 2008

Yeah, so um, heck yeah I cried lol

Crying is something I do…I used to be so much better at keeping my emotions in check unless it was “okay” to cry….but as everyone keeps telling me I am no longer good at that lol After seeing this movie I have to agree lol

I cried…I laughed…boy did I laugh then I was like ’I so miss this show!’ (oh Netflix) lol

I think they kept things true to the characters and not everyone has the “hollywood” ending but I think they had the best ending for the characters :)

I give it a THUMBS UP :)   But if you didn’t like the show….don’t like those kinds of shows, then don’t go expecting something different beause it is a movie….it is Sex and the City as it always was :)

Incredible Hulk….

Hope on Jun 20th 2008

It was good, slow moving but good. It was LONG…very very LONG lol Those kinds of movies I don’t like to go over about an hour and a half but this one seemed 3 hours long. I thought Norton did a great job in the flick and it is worth the money if you like these kinds of films but just be prepared for it to move at super fast speed the first two minutes then a snails pace the next hour and fifty eight minutes lol

VBS…Wedding Planning..TV Shows…Etc…

Hope on Jun 18th 2008

Okay so I’m multi-tasking on my relaxing lol Or something like that lol

I’m helping with Vacation Bible School this week and seeing the kids all excited and their hearts and minds open and ready to be filled by the love of the Lord…. if that doesn’t warm your heart then what does???

I’m getting caught up on email and everything from my two weeks “off” lmao there’s a joke lol My two days off and my two weeks of not checking email regularly is more like it!

I have a new wedding to plan (that makes a total of 3 right now)…. oh boy this should be fun! Why do I keep doing this? I don’t like being a Wedding Planner…if it turned out like the movie and I got Matthew McConaughey then sign me up but no I’m not seeing that happening. Oh yeah, I know why I do it…the money is good and I like to torture myself from time to time lol So those of you that love my wedding planning stories… I’m sure I’ll have some for you soon! I am like a movie (27 Dresses) to where my favorite moment (for the weddings I actually attend lol) is when the bride starts down the isle and the groom looks at her for the first time. It can be a sweet moment or it can secure a bet on how long the marriage will last….all from just that one look lol

Farmer Wants A Wife… Finally caught up…I like Brooke, I don’t know why lol but I do. She’s immature to some degree but she seems sincere, I’m just not sure she is ready to get married. Christa seemed like a cool chick BEFORE she started obessing over the negative of Brooke instead of worrying about her own self. Amanda to me is the big winner though in my opinion. She seems to really suit him and his lifestyle. I don’t see him with Kanesha (sp) or Christa in the end.

The Bachelorette (TRISTA not Deanna) I DVR’d a marathon of the first Bachelorette and I adore Trista EXCEPT for that little girl voice thing she has going on. Guys do you really find that kind of voice sexy? Anywho Ryan is amazing lol Charlie was so kind in the end with her and honest in the limo… Man that would have been a hard choice!

The Bachelorette (Deanna/Current)… I’m behind this past week but I know who went home and not surprised. Once I get caught up (should be tomorrow while I pack some envelopes-multi-tasking lol) I’ll post more on my thoughts on that because I know my opinion matters oh so much lmao ;)

In Plain Sight… while it started off a little slow I really like this show, I hope it makes it for a full season and beyond!

Army Wives…. I freakin’ missed this past weeks show and for some reason the DVR didn’t record it. So I had to watch it via the internet…thank goodness for the internet :) This is an amazing show… for anyone who hasn’t watched it yet… You so need to get caught up and enjoy it :)

Connections…

Hope on Jun 16th 2008

Some connections happen instantly between two people and some take time but I believe the true ones happen right away.

Sometimes you have people in your life that you don’t even have to talk to in order to know exactly how they feel and how they are doing. Silent conversations held right out in the public, sometimes in the middle of the masses and the craziest of times.

Some friendships, you don’t see each other for months or years but when in the same place at the same time it is as if you see each other every day!

I felt a lot of wonderful connections this past weekend and grew a few more I believe in the last couple of weeks!

So cheers to connections and having a full life!

Tony’s Big Heart

Hope on Jun 15th 2008

Tony’s big heart is showing yet again with the donation of his portion of his race winnings to the flood victims in his hometown. The initiative to think to do it along with the giving itself is one of the many reasons I am a Tony Stewart Fan!

Congrats Dale Jr among other drivers!

Hope on Jun 15th 2008

Congrats to Dale Jr! Finally maybe everyone will get off his back! Yeah right… I’m sure they’ll hound him about his next win starting tomorrow….

Very happy about Kasey Kahne & Elliott Sadler’s finishes! I think those made me smile bigger than Dale Jrs win! Tony & Harvick having good days were something to put a little extra pep in my step too. Wish Truex could have pulled up into a top 15 at least but not a horrible day!

A great Father’s Day race I think! Happy Father’s Day to all of you out there!

CMA Fest/Fan Fair

Hope on Jun 15th 2008

We’ve seen a million faces and rocked them all…… okay maybe not a million but lol

Busy times but good busy times! I’m very proud of everyone that had a hand in the FC Party for RA & the gang this year! It was so wonderful on our end that I even got to enjoy it and remember most of it lol That is a first for sure!

The booth allowed us to meet a lot of wonderful people and hear a lot of amazing stories of how different RA songs helped people through different events in their lives. I cried, I laughed, I held babies! It was good times!

My righ hand women Gina, Jackie and Gloria….THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!!!!!!!! I couldn’t have done it without you! Well not and still been sane!

All the booth elves, you rock! Had a great time spending extra time with each of you and getting to know you better while working the booth. Great job!

Lavar…..it was long overdue but I enjoyed every moment of it! Now we just have to work twice as hard to make it a yearly tradition that we get some time together!

We had wonderful boothmates in Jenna Von Oy, Mr. Coffee & Tetley!

I hated that I couldn’t roam around town some for some of the fun things but I wouldn’t trade working the booth for anything!
