Criminal Minds/Bionic Woman/Life/NCIS/Chuck/Journeyman/CSI/Bones/House/Dancing/Bachelor/Reaper/Cane/DirtySexyMoney

Hope on Sep 27th 2007

Okay a few reviews…I know I’m behind on these lol

Criminal Minds…totally freaked me out. I hope what they are hinting to does not happen!

Bionic Woman…good, better than I expected but I’m not 100% sold yet

Life…liked it a lot! I am anxious to see how they play this all out.

NCIS…awesome, awesome, awesome start to the season in my opinion! I knew they couldn’t kill Tony lol

Chuck…. just not sure, not the show I thought it was lol

Journeyman… LOVE IT! Glad it isn’t just some kind of Quantam Leap remake. QL had it’s time and I wasn’t into reliving it lol

Bones… was not even slightly disappointed! Loved the different story lines.

House… getting bored with it, now he isn’t funny and sarcastic he’s just an ass. Not sure how long I’ll hold on this season if they don’t get some more personalities flowing or he at least has some human side to him.

The Bachelor… while I’m not sure I’d say he’s the sexiest Bachelor that they’ve had and the women aren’t as intriguing to me this year as normal…I’m still curious and that is the key lol

Dancing With the Stars…. I like that Drew is on there other than that I’m not totally drawn in or not this season. No one standing out with a lot of personality or reason for me to really pull for…..

Reaper…. not sure. Had some moments and missed some others lol

Cane…. love it! Smits and mystery and drama are just a great mixture for me :)

Dirty Sexy Money… better than I was expecting and I’m giong to hang in there for this one I think.

CSI: NY… My favorite CSI show and has been the last season or so. Right now I’m anxious for the Vegas premiere mainly so we can stop seeing those ads every 5 minutes lol Vegas can sometimes disappoint me on their premieres. NY…did not disappoint! Miami…well as always I’m watching this show in spite of David Caruso’s bad acting lol

While I don’t think this is the best season of TV out there I do have some things I’m looking forward to :)

Rodney Atkins named National Council for Adoption Spokesperson

Hope on Sep 26th 2007

Wednesday, September 26, 2007 – The National Council For Adoption, a leading adoption advocacy organization, named Rodney Atkins as its 2007-2008 National Celebrity Spokesperson of the Year. The 2007 winner of the Academy of Country Music’s “Best New Male Vocalist” Award will serve as keynote speaker and special musical guest at the Families for All National Parent Recruitment Summit on Wednesday, Oct. 3 in Washington, D.C.

Atkins, who has three consecutive number one singles, including the current hit “These Are My People,” was adopted into his family as an infant and speaks from personal experience about the benefits of adoption.

“From the moment I met Rodney Atkins, it was clear to me that his heart is just as big as his talent,” says NCFA President Tom Atwood. “Many people have been touched by his songs, and I know that many more will be inspired by his personal story and commitment to serving the cause of adoption.”

“These children are the future of our nation and our families. It is important that we make sure they are taken care of,” says Atkins.

“We look forward to working with Rodney to raise awareness of important adoption and foster care issues,” says Atwood. “His humble willingness to become an advocate for children is evidence of the character that is the foundation of his success.”

Insomnia has its plus side

Hope on Sep 24th 2007

Well not sure if it is a plus side but it does allow you to find things you normally just don’t have the time for. Someone had asked me about a show called Blood Ties on Lifetime and I didn’t know what they were talking about. So after they were shocked that the “queen of all media” didn’t know about it lol They sent me the link to catch the first seasons episodes on the LifetimeTV.com website. Apparently it’s second season will launch in October….. Well I’m 8 episodes in and hooked. I’m normally not a vampire type of fan…never could get into Buffy or Angel and etc…. but I really really like this show.

I’ve got a lot of conference calls to do later today, hopefully after I get some sleep. I really really want some sleep lol Guess I’ll finish catching up on myspace and finishing out last seasons Blood Ties during those lol

Quote of the day: Bravery is powerfully attractive trait in a woman, stupidity is not.

Today’s Race

Hope on Sep 23rd 2007

Never thought I’d be pulling for Denny Hamlin against Kyle Petty but Kyle going into the car like that… if Denny had of punched him….

I don’t like it when Kasey has a bad day but I do like pissy Kasey every now and then, sometimes he is hilarious when he’s irritated.

I like Ray being on the radio with Elliott… and the comedy going on during later in the race was cracking me up.

And to add to the humor was the Truex incar audio team of Martin, Joey and Bono just having lots of fun.

I have to agree with several folks on the radio…up until about lap 384ish it was the most boring race of the year.

So not happy with the big “Talladega like” wreck….

Way to hang in there for Truex and Sadler pulled out a 17th place finish out of all of it. I have to be happy about that.

Congrats to Carl & the #99 team!

Nashville… I didn’t think about it like that

Hope on Sep 23rd 2007

After my post about my first review of the new Fox show Nashville I got an email from someone I truly respect a lot inside the industry….and it made me look at things differently.

The point of the show is to get some spotlight on some artists that normally wouldn’t get it BUT sometimes you have to have something else to bring people to the show. It is kind of like when people want to have Tim McGraw or Kenny Chensey come just hop up on stage for one song or sing on one song on an album. The goal of the night isn’t to help Kenny or Tim but it is to help whatever artist that is playing the show or recording the CD. The masses come for certain things….and the masses in TV land are more likely to come if there is some soap drama than they are if it is just about the music….

My first question after seeing the first episode was how the hell is Jamey Johnson going to fit into this show? He’s pretty much a straight shooter and I just couldn’t imagine it working with how things went the first show and how Jamey is… then I got my email and I watched the second show and now…. finally…yes I’m a little slow lol but…

I GET IT lol :)

Ramblings…Atlanta… movies, sports, etc…

Hope on Sep 22nd 2007

I don’t like quick trips as much as I used to lol

Just never leaves enough time for everything…or everyone…

Great show by all the artists, well I know Brad did great but only because I know he puts on a good show. Missed his whole set. Hated that I missed it but that was time well spent hanging out and catching up with folks I don’t get to see very often these days.

There are some people that when you are around them, no matter what you’re talking about or doing you just feel good, warm and fuzzy! There were lots of them in the ATL baby! :)

Sometimes you have moments where you feel so much love, so much unbelievable love that you know that it will carry you through any rough times you face in the future. There are some moments that you just want to keep close to your heart forever…I’ve been blessed that is for sure.

Rushed trips means catching up on sleep :) (and work).

After we watched a pretty caution filled Busch Race… was so hoping that Truex would pull out the win but it just wasn’t meant to be and I can’t complain about him coming in 2nd :)

After the race I watched a little Kentucky football and a little Alabama football before we headed out to the new Dane Cook movie Good Luck Chuck. HILARIOUS! Loved it! Some scenes I wasn’t expecting but lol enjoyed

Came back home to find the end of the Alabama/Georgia game and damn… that looked to be a great game that we missed. Guess congrats to all my Georgia loving friends lol I personally am sad to have missed the Kentucky game even more…

We settle into watching more movies, Disturbia was pretty good, it did its “thrilling” job. I wanted to see it in the theater but well same problem with that movie as Good Luck Chuck, wasn’t showing in Athens and apparently I didn’t want to see it as bad lol

Next on the movie watching list for the night was We Are Marshall, still not sure how I missed this in the theaters as we all know I’m a huge McConaughey fan but yet I did miss it so now I’m kind of glad as I don’t like to cry that much in a theater lol It was a moving and heartbreaking movie but a very recommended one!

Now I’m off to get some sleep so I can get rested up for the lovely day of sports tomorrow! Have I mentioned that I love NASCAR and Football season…not sure that I love how the Colts keep playing while the race is on but…
