A horrific tragedy….

As most of you know I’ve had dealings and ties to various people in wrestling for years. As many friends and loved ones are, I’m shocked, saddened and totally at a loss for words on how I feel about the loss, and it is a huge loss.

Don’t rush to snap judgments on what did or didn’t happen or who Chris Benoit was as a person just by a newspaper or news report.

If you have anything negative to say about Chris, unless you knew him personally then tell it to someone else because I could not care less what your opinion is. You do not know the man he was, you do not know the man that we knew.

Love and prayers go out to everyone that loved Chris, Nancy and Daniel.

We survived! lol Gina almost went a little nuts when Steve Wallace and Carl got together and I had one of the worst migraines I’ve had in a VERY long time on the way home. It was so bad that I let her drive, at night, while I wrapped up my head and covered my eyes lol Not because of her driving lol just because of the light which hurt like… um well it hurt a lot.

We chilled on the drive in and stopped to get something to eat and just took our time which put us there right at gates opening. We get parked and looked around and did the looking around thing and received our “rally” towels…. those ended up being a topic of conversation all night lol funny too. Perfecting the art of the rally towel waving was interesting to say the least lol if nothing else brought a few laughs to about 3 rows of people lol

We were surrounded with fairly sober folks, shocking I know! And since we had 2 extra tickets because of folks not able to go we had plenty of room to be comfortable. Other than being in a suite it/coach it was one of the most enjoyable and comfortable races I’ve been to. Glad to see some actual racing this week unlike in Nashville. Might not have always been in the front but there was some great racing going on out on the track back in the pack.

Of course after Carl became the Charlie Brown Car Gina wasn’t as thrilled but we continued pulling for other drivers Stremme, Yeley, Huffman, KHI cars and on down the line of people we would have liked to see win and that did include Leicht so we stayed and let (or thought we did) the traffic clear and watched his Victory Lane stuff.

Kentucky needs some help in the traffic distribution area. Once you GET to the roads, things were great… getting there not so great or fast. I’ve been to a lot of tracks and know some of them are better at this than others….. Nashville rocks at it in my opinion so maybe Kentucky can take a lesson from them.

Until the next race…this has been your ‘gone racin” report lol ;) Yeah I’m feeling a bit giddy and silly today for some reason

for me… when I see someone I care about or support looking totally happy and pretty relaxed that is all I need to do to be supportive of their decisions and what positions they put themselves in. Sometimes hearing it directly from them is all that is needed to change your opinion on something because you see the passion or heart in their eyes.

Today is a good day andon several fronts decisions were made that I really wasn’t wanting to happen but now that they have I can say it out loud. I was wrong!

I tend to look at things in a big picture type scheme all of the time sometimes a little too big picture maybe because it can blind me of some great things.

Thanks for taking the blinders off of me lol

Well it is all done and another one in the books!

As with everything there were a few bumps along the way. Two cracked ribs, seating charts that didn’t match up and venues that possibly may need to invest in a new AC and lighting…. BUT for the most part it was an amazing week that I doubt I’ll forget anytime soon!

Spent time with some new friends and some old friends… saw some milestones in RA’s career happening and yes I shed a few tears (not that it shocks anyone)… felt the hand of support from people when I needed it…

I have to thank all of the volunteers that helped us with all of the promoting and events this past week! Rodney was well represented during CMA Fest that is for sure. From the Rod Squad shirts to the stickers to the smiling faces that helped out on Friday at the Belcourt…. you are all appreciated!!

I especially want to say THANK YOU to those that helped at the Party on Friday. Each one of the volunteers PAID to go to the party and spent all of it with the exception of the actual performance from RA standing on their feet helping direct people, passing out the goodie bags, raffle tickets, handling questions and so forth from other members at the party.

Finally, seeing RA up on stage at the Coliseum.. um LP Field… that was long overdue and so amazing to see! Yep, I agree with one of the articles written about last night’s show…. I do believe we do have the answer to “who is going to fill their shoes” :)
